Future
Plan
|
A
development project titled Upgradation of Film Preservation System,
Digital Archiving of Classic Films and Restoration of Activities
of Bangladesh Film Archive has been approved by the Government.
Through introduction of Digital Archiving System, an integral
component of the Project, the old films would be transferred to
digital format and information and documents computerised which
would ensure preservation of the documents. Procurement of equipment
for film cleaning, defect detection, editing, temperature and
humidity control device, and database management would help restore
the severely damaged film prints and negatives. Besides it will
enrich collection of films, publication of film directory, photo
album and other relevant books, reports, conduct research, seminar,
workshop, conference and training and improve reading room and
projection facilities for awareness creation and capacity building
in preserving films in an efficient way. |
